Who We Are

Ethiopian Swimming department was established at the departmental level during 1970 E.C. to organize clubs and conduct competitions at every level. After the Swimming Sports Department made to meet the requirements, it was established as the Ethiopian Swimming Federation in March 1971.

Our Mission

Ensuring effective aquatic sports accessibility, participation and benefit to the community by arranging facilities everywhere, providing appropriate sport development training, organizing
clubs, and competition in order to expand and speed up Aquatic sport in our country.  Produce talented athletes who succeeded at competition effectively, co-actively and skillfully across the
continent and internationally.

Our Aim

To be the most favorite, inclusive, community-accessible and athlete-centered aquatics organization in Ethiopia and seeing it as one of the five most successful federations in Africa.

Ethiopian Aquatics Federation is a body recognized by the World Aquatics and licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Ethiopia to promote and develop the Aquatics throughout the country. The working language of the Federation is the Ethiopian Federal Government working language.
The Office of the Ethiopian Aquatics Federation is located in Addis Ababa.
