The Ethiopian Aquatics Federation has made the ceremonial presentation of the national flag to the national team those participate to the World Aquatics Championship in Doha, Qatar.
The federation held a training session for the athletes at Ghion Hotel in preparation for the championship, which will take place from February 02-18, 2024. Ethiopia will be represented by both male and female athletes in the freestyle and butterfly categories. The president of the federation, Mrs. Meseret Demissu, emphasized the athletes’ rigorous training and urged them to perform their best and achieve satisfactory results to uphold the trust of the Ethiopian people. She also extended her best wishes to the athletes, encouraging them to return to their country with pride.
The President further extended her best wishes to the athletes, emphasizing the importance of embodying Ethiopian politeness and showcasing their national identity through their attire upon returning to their home country. She expressed gratitude towards the Ethiopian Olympic Committee for providing the necessary sport wearing. Additionally, it has come to our knowledge that the athletes participating in the World Aquatics Championship in Doha, Qatar, will commence their preparations for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Lastly, the president and other Executive (board members) presented the athletes with the national flag in a formal ceremony.
